OnePlus 8 series is reportedly arriving sometime in April and we already have enough information on what the new phones will offer. This time, OnePlus could drop three models under its flagship series, including the vanilla OnePlus 8, the OnePlus 8 Pro, and a watered-down OnePlus 8 Lite. The specifications of each model have already been leaked and they seem tangible at this point. The major draw will be the support for 5G networks on at least one model, possibly the OnePlus 8 Pro.
The OnePlus phones were originally launched with the title of flagship killer’ but its 2020 models could, however, struggle to retain that title. This is, largely, because the mid-tier players, such as Realme, Oppo, and Xiaomi, have rocketed to the upper mid-range segments in India something that could make things difficult for OnePlus. Not only the aggressive pricing, but the rival brands are also getting better in leaps and bounds in terms of specifications of their offerings. Oppo’s latest Find X2 Pro, with 120Hz display, Snapdragon 865 SoC, is one such example. But OnePlus, surely, knows how to sell its phones and ward off the competition.
